The Aymara New Year

Yesterday was the Aymara New Year. The tradition involves staying up to see the sun come up and general merriment. Some llamas get sacrificed to the gods as well. I was not up for staying up a full day after an afternoon of soccer. Especially on close to one of the shortest and coldest days here. None the less, it’s now year 5517 on the Aymara calendar.
